Thank you for your interest in the ministry of Trail Christian
Fellowship.  We believe ministry is rightly done by all members of the
church and not just our pastoral team.  In fact our largest and most
effective ministries are almost completely run by volunteers.  Since
being a volunteer is so critical and important to the body, we want you
to make certain that we’re the right church for you and your family and
that you are in accord with our leadership, mission statement, and
doctrine.  In keeping with this, we would ask you to take the following
steps before making a ministry commitment at TCF:

*Step One:*  Participate for the first 6-9 months by attending our
Sunday morning and Wednesday evening services and get a better
understanding of who we are, and what we believe through our worship
services.  We also ask you to review our statement of beliefs  to make
sure you’re in agreement, and can worship with us in heartfelt unity.

Also within that 6-9 month period, we invite you to attend a
“Newcomers Dinner” on a Sunday evening.  These are a wonderful time
where we enjoy a simple meal, allow you a chance to meet other members
of the church, and have an opportunity to hear from the pastors and ask
them questions.  The Newcomers Dinners are held every three to four months
and you may register for the next one at the “information octagon” in the
foyer of the Worship Center on Sunday mornings.

*Step Two:*  In addition to attending a Newcomers Dinner, we would love
for you to plug into one of the Trail Mix Discipleship classes on Sunday
mornings before service, join one of our home groups, and/or participate
in men’s or women’s ministry events. These will afford you an opportunity
to connect with other leaders and members in the church and also participate
in the life of the church.

*Step Three:* Check out the multitude of opportunities to serve in
short-term missions, local outreaches, children’s ministry
and many other ways as well.  If you would like to
speak to a pastor on ways you could potentially serve, please contact
Pastor Doug Higuera.
